I am an adult
I understand this fact, and I’m beginning to understand what being an adult truly means. It doesn’t mean that I’m perfect. It means that I am still learning and making mistakes. As an adult, I will continue to fuck up and make stupid decisions. But that’s okay, because I learn from those mistakes and I know not to repeat them in the future.
What I’m really trying to say is; I got my first tax check and I got a lot of money. And what I’m trying to get at is that I might have gotten really drunk last night, and I might have done some online shopping, and I might have spent a stupidly large amount of money on Transformers figures.
As an adult, I will not cry over my impulsive spending. You see, that’s what separates adults from children. We accept our mistakes, learn from them, and don’t blame them on other people, alcohol, or the devil. I will accept these facts as it is, accept the boxes the UPS guy will leave at my door within a few days, and continue on with my life.
